  10. I really would like to lose this weight. How did I lose so much before? I’m down 70lbs and I haven’t let myself get back in focus since last September. That’s 4 months of gaining weight and now I’ve gained 4lbs since January. Well, I have to quote an old coworker for motivation here….

    Think about how long it took you to put that weight on. Now think about how little time it has taken to take that weight off.

    So it took 4 months to put on 20lbs and if I focus it will take a realistic 2 months to take it off (assuming I lose more weight initially). It took 6 months to gain that extra 4lbs and it will take under three weeks of hard work to take it off. It took me a decade or more to gain all this weight in the first place and it will take, in total, less than a year to get to a comfortable place with my body. Alright! Now that’s motivating!!!

    Ok, I feel better.
